APC Abandoned, destroyed Nigeria with impunity – Ayu


… says there’s hope for Nigeria’s unity

National Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party, Sen. Iyorchia Ayu has blamed the All Progressive Party, for its failure to implement the mechanism of action on security toward protecting lives and properties of Nigerians.

Ayu said the APC controlled Federal Government under President Buhari has lack goodwill and focus since coming to power which according to him is affecting the general well being and sustainable development of the country.

Speaking at a homecoming reception held in Makurdi, the Benue State Capital, the new PDP chairman lamented how President Buhari’s failure has brought unwarranted division, hardship, agony and mistrust among Nigerians.

“That has destroyed our reputation of brotherly love, affection, trust, tolerance across religious and ethnic divide.

“Hate, lies and conspiracy have taken over our hope and created suspicions and intolerance among different people in the country.” Ayu said.

He however assured that PDP under his watch is commited in rebuilding and bringing back lost glory through unity, equity, justice, cohesion and adherence of rule of law and due process.

“The new PDP National Working Committee, NWC is determined to bring a good leadership to the country to rescue and rebuild the nation for a sustainable and positive change that will usher security, equity, justice, unity and political cohesion among Nigerians.

“Nigerians should not lose hope on one Nigeria, because of certain group of people that failed to deliver justice fairness as PDP is ready and modified of fighting such injustice, objectively for a united and equitable nation with hope and peace

Ayu added that under the government of PDP, no part of the section of our country will be subjected to injustice or persecution saying “all our people are equals, we will bring back such unity and trust among Nigerians.”

He also urged Nigerians to stop agitating for disintegration of the country, saying “our country will remain united, peaceful and focus despite the great challenges facing us.

“Every section of the country is presently facing one challenge or the other over violence and attacks. We condemn such heinous crimes of fashion where innocent people are burned or destroyed due to reasons of wickedness and irresponsibility.

On his part, Governor Samuel Ortom describes Senator Ayu as great man with focus and zeal in leading the party to success.

He also assured him with support from government and people of Benue state to achieve his mission of rebuilding and rescuing Nigerians from poor governance.

The event was attended by former Senate President, Sen David Mark, members of the newly inaugurated PDP National working committee are among others.
