Ex-Minister, Shagari lauds Tambuwal for prioritised Civil Servants’ salaries


Former Minister of Water Resources, Barr. Muhktar Shagari has commended the Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal for prioritised civil servants’ welfare in the state.

Shagari made the commendation on Saturday via his Twitter handle where he pointed out the prompt payment of October Salary to the Civil Servants in the State by the State as laudable.

The tweet reads: “Without any partisan sentiments and from the bottom of my heart, I commend Rt Hon Aminu Waziri Tambuwal,the Executive Gov of Sokoto state for making payment of civil servants’ salary a top priority of his administration. Salaries were paid on Friday,the 23rd of this month (Oct)”.

Barr. Muhktari Shehu Shagari popularly called ‘Mai Ruwa’ by his supporters is a Peoples Democratic Party’s chieftain in the State, a former Minister for Water Resources between 2001-2006.

He was the Deputy Governor to Former Governor Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko between 2007-2015.
