Achida also appealed to the State Government to ensure the financial autonomy of the local governments in the state, to enable them provide the direly needed dividends of democracy to the people of the state.

He regretted that, the local governments in the state had not been able to provide such dividends of democracy to the people since 2015, as they lacked the wherewithal.

The donor, Kalambaina, said that, the gesture, the third in it’s series in the last three months, was aimed at further alleviating the suffering of his constituents.

According to him, more of such empowerment schemes and an array of constituency projects were in the pipeline for the constituents.
